Chelsea vs Man City: Hazard’s brace sinks Guardiola’s men, Arsenal thrash West Ham

Chelsea continued their march towards the Premier League title, with a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men were hoping to blow the title race open with a result in London, but went behind after Eden Hazard smashed in the opening goal from inside the area.
Thibaut Courtois palmed David Silva’s shot onto Sergio Aguero’s path and the Argentine striker equalized for City with a tap-in.
With the game looking to finish level in the first half, Fernandinho tripped Pedro Rodriguez in the area and referee Mike Dean pointed to the spot. Hazard stepped up and converted his own rebound, after the keeper saved the initial penalty.
In the other games, Arsenal thrashed West Ham 3-0 at the Emirates, to provide some respite for embattled manager, Arsene Wenger.
Hull City beat Middlebrough 4-2, Spurs fought back to win 3-1 at Swansea, Southampton defeated Crystal Palace 3-1 and Liverpool drew 2-2 with Bournemouth at Anfield.
