Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu needs change of mentality – Obasanjo

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has restated that those upsetting for the separation of Nigeria aren't right.

Obasanjo, who made the comment while denouncing those requiring the separation of the nation, noting that the issue of the nation was not in its structure, but rather in the "mindset" of its citizens.

Talking in Lagos, yesterday, the former President said he petitions God for a change of mindset by the instigators.

Obasanjo said if he had a magic wand, "I would make one wish that God should change our mindset; I trust that is the issue of this nation."

He prompted Nigerians not to be deluded by those calling for war, noting that they had not witnessed one before.

The former President went ahead to express that his desire was for the nation to stay as one.

"Anyone who thinks Nigeria will be separating isn't right", he said.
He, in any case,Hammered that the current fusses for rebuilding were legitimate.

"We have to accomplish more about the value of this nation. We have to consider ourselves to be our brother's keepers. We have to share our normal God-given assets together," he said.

This is coming when the pioneer of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, said Obasanjo will die in the event that he endeavors to stop the Biafra agitation.

Kanu issued the notice while responding to Obasanjo's call that he ought to be halted for upsetting for Biafra.

Likewise, IPOB had yesterday blamed the former President for plotting to kill Kanu and oust the President Muhammadu Buhari-lead government.
